General Terms, Conditions and Game Rules – Escape room Trapped
Article I – Introductory Provisions
These General Terms and Conditions (hereinafter referred to as “GTC”) govern the legal relationships, rights, and obligations between the operator of Trapped escape rooms (hereinafter referred to as the “Operator”) and the game participants (hereinafter referred to as the “Participant” or “Customer”).
By making a game reservation, the Participant confirms that they have fully familiarized themselves with these GTC, understand them, and agree to comply with them.
The Operator reserves the right to change or update these conditions at any time. The currently valid version of the GTC is always available on the website:
www.trapped.sk.
Article II – Booking and Payment Conditions
A game reservation becomes binding once confirmed by the Operator (via email or telephone).
The base game price is set for a team consisting of 2 to 4 players.
The maximum number of players in a single team is 5 people. An additional fee of €10 is charged for the fifth person (the extra player above the 4-player limit).
Special corporate events, celebrations, and teambuildings are priced and organized based on individual agreement.
Article III – Delays and Cancellation Policy
Participants are required to arrive at the game location in advance (ideally 10–15 minutes before the booked time slot).
In the event of a team delay of more than 15 minutes, the Operator reserves the right to:
shorten the game time by the duration of the delay (without entitlement to a discount on the price),
or cancel the game entirely without any entitlement to financial or other compensation.
Article IV – General Game Rules and Prohibited Activities
During the game, it is strictly forbidden to:
use mobile phones, smartwatches, tablets, cameras, or any other electronics,
take any audio, video recordings, or photographs of the premises (violation of this prohibition is subject to a contractual fine of €200),
bring personal items into the game rooms (e.g., flashlights, tools, knives, weapons, etc.).
All personal belongings, electronics, and bags must be safely stored in the designated lockable lockers before the game starts.
Article V – Safety, Property Protection and Liability
Participants are required to fully follow the instructions of the game master (operator), observe basic safety regulations, and not manipulate electrical equipment or elements marked with a prohibition sign.
It is forbidden to use brute physical force, destroy room equipment and props, or behave aggressively within the premises.
Participants bear full financial and legal responsibility for damages caused to the Operator’s property due to intentional actions or gross violation of the rules. In the event of damage to the equipment, they are obliged to compensate for the damage in full.
The Operator is not liable for:
injuries caused by failure to comply with the rules or instructions of the game master,
loss or theft of personal items that were not properly stored in the lockable lockers.
For safety reasons and to monitor the progress of the game, the escape room premises are continuously monitored by a CCTV camera system.
Article VI – Game Progress, Hints and Rights of the Game Master
Players have the opportunity to request a hint (help) at any time during the game.
Hints are provided exclusively at the team’s request, and communication takes place via the room’s internal audio/video system.
The game master has the right to immediately interrupt the game or expel a participant (or the entire team) from the game without any refund if there is repeated violation of the rules, aggressive behavior, or destruction of property.
Article VII – Medical, Age Restrictions and Substance Use
Entering the game is not recommended for individuals suffering from claustrophobia, epilepsy, serious cardiovascular diseases, or individuals in acute psychological distress. Each participant enters the game at their own risk.
Persons under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or other narcotic and psychotropic substances will not be admitted to the game, without any right to a refund of the paid amount.
Children under 14 years of age may participate in the game exclusively when accompanied by an adult. Participation of children under 5 years of age is not recommended due to safety and atmospheric reasons.
Article VIII – Emergency Situations
Every escape room is designed to allow immediate and safe exit in case of an emergency (emergency door release system).
In the event of unforeseen situations (fire, sudden health problems, panic attack), the game will be immediately terminated by the staff and participants will be evacuated.
Article IX – Gift Certificates
The validity of a gift certificate is strictly set to 6 months from the date of its issuance.
The certificate is valid for the number of people specified on it. After the expiration date, the certificate expires without any right to a financial refund or extension.
Article X – Personal Data Protection (GDPR)
By making a reservation, the Participant grants consent to the processing of their personal data (name, surname, email address, telephone number) for the purpose of booking administration, mutual communication, and sending post-game materials (e.g., team photos).
Team photos taken after the game in the designated areas may be used for the Operator’s marketing purposes (social networks, website), unless the participants express their disagreement in advance. Data processing complies fully with the GDPR regulation.
Article XI – Final Provisions
These General Terms and Conditions and all legal relationships arising from them are governed by the legal order of the Slovak Republic.
Any disputes between the Operator and the Participants will be resolved preferentially by agreement; in the event of a lawsuit, the matter will be submitted to the competent court of the Slovak Republic.
